. Physical Education

Physical Education at The International School consists of six different disciplines:
. Gymnastics with floor works, gymnastics with balance beam, bars, trampoline as well as with balls, hoops,   cones, beanbags, foulards, a parachute and sometimes only a newspaper.
. Athletics exercises include running, broad jumping, endurance training, invigoration and flexibility training   (mostly outside if weather permits).
. Sport games consist of softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, football, badminton,   dodge ball.
. Dance and workout with music to practice strength and flexibility.
. Winter sports will include sledding, ice hockey, skiing and ice skating.
. Swimming lessons will take place from January through March.


Physical Education is designed to assist students in living a healthier life, to learn about their body, to build self-confidence and to experience overall fitness.

Our Physical Education program promotes play and interaction in a school team as well as conflict resolution, cooperativeness and care about each other, including the acceptance of rules.
