TO ALL NEW PARENTS:
Please allow me to welcome you on behalf of our school's Parent Association. The majority of our parents have very generously given their time and effort in support of all of our activities, and we like to encourage you to also become a member of our association.

We usually meet once a month around 8:30 a.m at the school after having dropped off our children. All parents are encouraged to attend these meetings in order to partake in the discussions and resolutions that contribute to the well-being of our children and the overall enhancement of the educational environment. These meetings also provide especially new parents with ample opportunities to get to know each other and to exchange valuable information. For all of those unable to attend, we publish a weekly PA Newsletter that is sent home through our students electronically.

With respect to regular activities, PA mothers have arranged to cook and serve hot meals on a weekly basis and also organize Friday Pizza lunches. Furthermore, we initiated that throughout the present school year, our school library as well as individual classroom libraries should receive new reading material. Parents volunteered to review the content of the libraries and also encouraged teachers to establish specific "wish lists" for their classrooms, thus enabling us to expand the amount of relevant reading and instructional material for students and teachers in English, French, German, and Spanish. Our fundraising efforts also continue to support the Physical Education program with new gym equipment.

In short, The International School Parent Association consists of a very active and dedicated team of parents interested in contributing to the best possible educational climate. Additional annual events include Book Fairs, Halloween party, Thanksgiving Potluck Feast, Fundraiser events, and a Summer Festival to finish off the school year. Parents are also invited to volunteer as drivers and/or chaperones for our half or full day field trips and weeklong Science Camp. And as always, the Parent Association works closely with the school staff and administration, thus ensuring that every school year is a successful one.
