| On behalf of The International School Parent Association,
I would like to welcome your family this school year. The Association
is the parents group that assists the school as needed. All parents
are encouraged to attend our meetings, which are held monthly at the
school either in the morning or the evening. The meetings give us
an opportunity to meet other parents and discuss our concerns in a
relaxed atmosphere.
The Parent Association organizes the hot lunch programs twice per week. The
hot lunch order forms are normally placed in your Friday Folder each month
and should be returned in the folder on the following Monday with
your payment attached. Please ask the office for a form if one is
not given to you. One form is needed for each family.
The Association also sells School Spirit items during the school
year, organizes an annual Halloween Party for our children as well as supplements
educational programs throughout the school year. We have opportunities
for parents to help in classrooms as either room parents and/or
weekly lunch parents. Parent newsletters are issued
during the school year and parents can sign up as volunteers for
our various programs. The Parent Association is also responsible for organizing school fundraisers
which give us the necessary
means to support programs and purchase items that will benefit our
children.
As you can see, our Association is very active in the school, and
we encourage your involvement. Please join with us in our efforts
to make this the best school year yet. As indicated above, there
will be many opportunities for you to help. Surely, you will find
it to be a truly rewarding experience for you and your children.
