ENGLISH AS A
FOREIGN LANGUAGE
The individualized
instruction of English as a foreign language represents a vital
part of our college preparatory curriculum.
Children from
outside the United States with little or no knowledge of English will
be given instructions based on individual needs until they are able to
join their appropriate grade level.
Students from the
third Grade up will receive assistance with pronunciation and the
basic grammatical structure of English.
They learn to use dictionaries, the library, and the Internet, too.
All of our efforts
are designed to speed up the process of putting English at the command
of children who have to learn the language in order to be integrated
into their regular English classes.
Art
The Art
curriculum is designed to stimulate individual creativity, help
with problem solving and creative thinking, increase hand and eye
co-ordination, and strengthen self-esteem. Students at every Grade
level will be exposed to drawing exercises to improve drawing skills
using pencils and colored pencils working with watercolor, printing
techniques and mural painting creating clay sculptures, self
portrait paintings, architectural structures/mat board, cardboard
masks producing paper mache painting based on imagery renaissance
